Background

Tracy is married and has two adult children.

Ms. Watson began her informal training as a psychotherapist at a very young age from her father, also a psychotherapist in the community. Ms. Watson completed her formal training by earning a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in 2015. She also holds advanced certification in Clinical Hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and the North Texas Society of Clinical Hypnosis (NTSCH), where she currently serves as President. Additionally, she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA. In addition, she is a trained facilitator for "Prepare/Enrich" which is a research based program used to strengthen relationships and marriages.

Her practice involves assessing current concerns and helping the individual create a new life experience. She focuses on the principles of personal responsibility for building quality of life by using a combination of cognitive awareness and unconscious approaches.

Worked under the supervision of J. Douglas Crowder, MD, Forensic Psychiatry, helping clients through individual, family and forensic therapies.

Lew Sterretts Dallas County Detention Center
Resolana Program Worked as a facilitator of the "Seeking Safety" program with detained females that experienced trauma or had PTSD.

Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital - Trauma Unit
Worked under the direction of Dr. Colin Ross at this inpatient psychiatric hospital, specializing in working with patients experiencing trauma utilizing a variety of specific therapy techniques.

Carl A. Ward, PhD Supervisor
Worked under the supervision of Dr. Ward during the finalization of her internship.

Affiliations

Working with Roxanna Erickson, Tracy obtained certification in Clinical Hypnosis and advanced certification through NTSCH. Tracy is an active member of and President of NTSCH and presents internally for professional teaching webinars and workshops on topics related to mental health healing using hypnotic techniques.
